U.S. Marine survives 3 gunshot wounds to the chest by plugging wholes with fingers.

      Well everyone we all know about the "baddest kid on the block." You know the one who can handle him or herself in a fight. That one person that when he/she walks down the street everyone starts to whisper about saying "Don't mess with that person you'll get messed up." Well Ladies and Gentlemen I have news for you I believe I have found the "baddest man on the block." This person is Marine Lt. Col Karl Trenker. He was doing a favor for his fiancé by going to meet a potential buyer for a diamond necklace she had posted on Craigslist. When he arrived he started pointing out the finer points of the necklace allowing the potential buyer to feel it out then what was supposed to be a simple buy turned out to be a robbery. The would be robbers run from Trenker with him in pursuit of them for several blocks when Jeff Steele one of the robbers pulls out a gun on the veteran and proceeded to shoot at him several times while his children were in the truck waiting for him as he was making the deal. Trenker stated that he had got on the phone and contacted his fiancé and proceeded to tell her that he had been shot three times and just couldn't believe that he was in Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. He had never been wounded once and now here he is in his home state of Florida and now he's going to the hospital for gunshot wounds. His fiancé couldn't believe it either she was supposed to be the one doing the deal not Trenker. She couldn't believe how he had reacted to the situation by calling her and telling her that "he had been shot three times, my fingers are in the bullet holes, the police are going to take care of the kids." She felt so shocked based on the fact that they were expecting her there to make the deal not her fiancé. The would be robbers 20 year old Jeff Steele and his accomplice, James Flounory also 20 are in jail without bond. In true Marine fashion Trenker had a message for them. "If he didn't have a pistol I would've whipped his butt." This just goes to show that when the fight or flight moment is presented to you and your determined to survive you will do anything and everything to survive even plugging your own body up with your own fingers like in the story of the little Dutch boy and the dike. So I pray that this story is a bit of an inspiration to you. If you are to ever to find yourself in a situation like this take the time to think are you able to do the same in order for you to survive for your family or are you going to just let it happen the choice is yours.
